Description: Alpharetta International Academy, a not-for-profit private Montessori school, is actively seeking a dedicated Adolescent teacher to join our expanding Montessori community in the Fall of 2024. Located in Alpharetta, Georgia, a city blending urban energy with small-town charm, we offer an exceptional quality of life, making it an ideal place to live and work.
We seek an enthusiastic and motivated individual passionate about teaching Social Science and English. Ideal candidates will possess AMS or AMI Adolescent training. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing our Middle School program for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025.
Responsibilities include engaging and guiding students in stimulating activities, implementing age-appropriate lessons, and assessing and refining lesson plans while teaching life skills. A nurturing approach towards each student is essential, along with consistently fostering positive behavior and social interactions.
In addition to teaching duties, maintaining open communication with parents is vital, including regular updates on student activities and progress. The candidate will also be expected to participate in occasional parent events and other activities that may occur during evenings and weekends.
