Mountain Shadows Montessori School in Boulder, CO, seeks AMI Trained Lead Guides for our Toddler, Primary, and Elementary environments.
Description:
This person is directly responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in the classroom; guiding their activities so that each child can reach their fullest academic, social, emotional, and physical development; and adhering to the policies and procedures of Mountain Shadows Montessori School and the philosophy espoused by it and the Association Montessori Internationale (“AMI”).
Duties:
Provide lessons to each child, whether the lessons are an individual or small group, according to the AMI training for the appropriate level.
Keep written records of the lessons presented to each child. Make notes of the child’s reaction to lessons, their interest level, and the follow-up work they complete.
Maintain a classroom that allows the child to concentrate and engage in purposeful work.
Provide Back-to-School night for parents of the classroom.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Montessori Credential as an AMI Teacher is required.
Willingness to complete state requirements: First Aid & CPR Training, Background Check & Fingerprinting
