Description: Rhyme and Reason Academy is an all-new Montessori School located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Our elementary campus features 35 acres of farmland and a charming flock of chickens. The area in general is both rural and coastal, you’re never more than 20 minutes from the beach and the cost of living is very affordable. If you’re looking for a slower pace of life, while still being only a day away from major cities, the Eastern Shore is for you!
Our one-year-old school is now opening a primary classroom for children ages 3-6, our school is the first Montessori School in the area. You will have the opportunity to open a brand-new classroom and prepare the environment from the ground up.
We are looking for a qualified Montessori primary teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, is excited to put in the work to start their own brand-new class, and a has strong understanding of the Montessori philosophy.
Ideal Candidates:
* Hold a MACTE accredited Montessori teacher diploma for the 3-6 classroom
* Excited to be part of starting a new school
* Loves to learn new things
* Likes to experiment and try new approaches to solve problems
* Patient, empathetic, kind
Minimum Responsibilities:
* Creating and maintaining a Montessori prepared environment that conforms to AMI standards.
* Teaching a full class of 3-6 year olds using the Montessori Method.
* Parent-teacher communications for students in your class.
